Alh.  Solabi,  porpularly  referred  to  as  “GAS”  is  the  ED / CEO  of  Rambigas  Nigeria  Limited.  He  holds  an  M.Sc.  in  Analytical  Chemistry  and  Instrumentation  from Loughborough  University  of  Technology,  Uk  in  addition  to  a  B.sc  in  Industrial  Chemistry  bagged  from  North  London  Polythecnic  now  North  London  University, UK.  

He  has  industrial  working  experience  which spanned  over  twenty  years  with  stint  with  Portland Cement  (Blue  Circle), Uk,  Tropical  Products  Institute,  UK  and  finally  in  Nigeria  with  Nestle  Nigeria  Plc  where  he  put  in  20  years  of  meritorous  service.

 

GAS,  as  one  of  the  pioneers  of  Nestle  Agbara  Factory  in  1979, rose  from  Quality  Control  Chenmist  and  Quality  Assurance  Manager  to Scientific,  Environment  and      Regulatory Affairs  Manager  (Scientific  Adviser)  before  his  retirement  in  1999.

Through  his  contributions  to  the  Food  Industries  in  the  Country,  the  Association  of  Food  Beverages  &  Toibacco  Employers  (AFBTE),  Sectoral  Group  of  Manufacturers  Association  of  Nigeria  (MAN)  appointed  him  to  chair  the    Technical  Committee  (1989 – 1999).

He  served  as  Council  member  of  Food  Drugs  Administration  and  Laboratory  Services  (1984 – 1985) and   as  a  pioneering  Council  member  of  NAFDAC  (1993 - 1994).  A  Fellow  of  Nigerian  Institute  of  Food  Science  &  Technology  NIFST  and  one  time  President  of  the  Institute  (1988 – 1989).  He  is  also   a  Fellow  of  the  Institute  of  Public  Analyst  of  Nigeria  (IPAN)

 

GAS  has  to  his  credits  several  published  and  unpublished  publications  while  he  has  travelled  widely  in  the  course  of  trainings  and  as  delegate   to  many  international  fora.  An  active  participant  in  many  local  scientific  fora.

 

GAS  is  presently  a  Consultant  to  Ogun  State  Environmental  Protection  Agency, (OGEPA) ,  National  Codex  Committee (NCC)  and  the  CEO  of  Rambigas  Nigeria  Limited,  a  registered  Environmetal  Consultancy  outfit  with  Federal  Ministry  of  Environment  and  some  State  Environmental  Agencies.

 

Technical  Co-ordinator – Bamtefa Joseph A.

Mr.  Bamtefa  Joseph  is  the  Technical  Co-ordinator  of Rambigas  Nigeria  Limited.

He  holds  a  B. Sc.  in  Biochemistry  Chemistry  from  Lagos State  University,  Ojo  Lagos,  and  a  PGD  in  Environmental  Resources  Management  (In  View).

He  has  attended  several  training  workshops  /  seminars  and  has  co-ordinated  the  activities  of  Rambigas  Nigeria  Limited  for  the  past  eight  years  (2005 – to  date).

 

Senior  Scientific  Officer -  Okumodi  Adewunmi  O.

Mr. Okumodi  Adewunmi  (Associate  EIA  Practitioner, Institute of Environmental  Management  &  Assessment, IEMA,  UK), IPAN (student member).  Holds  a  M.Sc.  in  Chemistry  and  B.Sc.  in  Industrial  Chemistry  both  from the  University  of  Lagos.  He  has  career  spanning  over  10  years  as  Trainee in  Environmental  Audit  and  Management  with  Probi  Nig. Environmental  Consultancy  Services,  Lagos, Environmental  Scientist  with  Bodley  Company  Limited, Lagos  and  as  an  Assistant  Brewing  Manager  with  Vitamalt  Plc  before  joining   Rambigas  Nigeria  Limited.  He  is  vast  in  EIA  / EAR  report  preparation  and  also  simple  GIS  application.
